Daily Keemo 08.21 - The Last Button

When Blue Is The Color Of Change. (The Last In The Button Series)
Click

I don't think I have ever posted a portrait of my mom here. I've posted Grandpa Joe and many of my brothers but I don't think Mom has been here. Long story short, she went through here own blue period the last 5 years. It isn't necessary to share all the details. We have all gone through blue periods and we all understand that keeping the details private is necessary. (Especially in forums like this) However, with that said, those periods can define us at a certain moment as it is hard to not wear those emotions on your sleeve. The time has come for her next portrait to be a bright yellow or orange. Her blue period seems over. Here is to going through rough times and coming out on the other end stronger than ever! Here is to Blue being the color of change...Enjoy!

Only 25 of these buttons will be made available. Once these 25 button are gone, that is it. I have worked with the printer to make sure that each button is individually numbered to reflect it's placement in the set. (If you are the 5th person, you will receive button #5 of 25.) (Special requests for button # can be made if available.)

Daily Keemo 07.10 - Button #11 - Smiling Guy

Limited Edition Button #11 - The Smiling Guy

Click

This is #11 in the limited edition button series. This is the limited edition button of a painting from 2007 called The Smiling Guy. This was #171 from the ACEO/ATC series.

Story: I know that many of you that follow my work have liked the stories that go along with the artwork that I post. Well, this is one of the paintings in which the original story has been lost. (I have a much better back up system now!) Story or not, this has been one of my favorite portraits over the last couple years and I just had to include it in the limited edition button series. Actually, I think the title is story enough in this case. So, with that...Enjoy! (oh yeah... and don't forget to smile)

The Red King. Button #10
Click

This is #10 in the limited edition button series. This is the limited edition button of a painting from 2007 called Red King. (or Those Stripes On Charlie Brown's shirt) - (ACEO/ATC #303)

Story: I received an email this week from someone who said they really liked the King and Queen portraits. I too enjoy them. I like the crown heads because they remind me of the pattern on Charlie Brown's shirt. (I think even mentioning Charlie Brown may warrant a call from their lawyer. Well, I guess I'm living on the edge) Well, as those of you who follow my work know, I always try to take time to do portraits for people who take the time out of their lives to drop me a message. So, here is to the person who took the time to drop an email and share there thoughts with me and here is to the pattern on Charlie Browns shirt! (My phone is ringing... I bet its their lawyer...)...Enjoy!

Daily Keemo 04.11 - Button #5

Once you have given up the ghost, everything with follows with dead certainty, even in the
midst of chaos" - Henry Miller, Tropic of Capricorn. I was 15 or so when I read
that opening sentence of Tropic of Capricorn. At the time, I don't think I fully
understood what exactly he was meaning but when I applied the words to my own
life at the time it felt more like a mantra. Well, here and now, there is no
giving up the ghost. Completely the opposite if anything. So, here is a small
painting to remind us that all things move forward and if we let ourselves,
we can all move forward as well...Enjoy!

Only 25 of these buttons will be made available. Once these 25 button are gone, that is
it. I have worked with the printer to make sure that each button is individually
numbered to reflect it's placement in the set. (If you are the 5th person, you
will receive button #5 of 25.) (FYI, these buttons have been selling out in
24-36 hours.)

Daily Keemo - Limited Edition Button #3 - 03.21

This is #3 in the limited edition button series. This is the limited edition of a recent painting called The Things We Abandon When It Doesn't Stop The Crying. (ACEO #334).

Story:
I sat in my seat on the plane drawing most of the way home. There was a mother with a small baby in the seat in front of me. The baby was not particularly excited about being stuck on the plane. (like most of us, I suppose) I turned my headphones up to drown out the crying and worked away on some pictures. I sat back and was thinking about what to draw next when I saw the baby's pink, stuffed bunny wedged between the two seats in front of me. The mother must have abandoned it as a method of getting the baby to stop crying. Well, you know the saying; one crying baby's loss is another painters gain. So, here is to all the things that we abandon when it doesn't stop the crying...

Only 25 of these buttons will be made available. Once these 25 button are gone, that is it. I have worked with the printer to make sure that each button is individually numbered to reflect it's placement in the set. (If you are the 5th person, you will receive button #5 of 25.) The first four designs in the series have already been created and they will be released over the coming weeks. (FYI, the first two sold out in 24-36 hours.) The next 4 are already in the works... Enjoy!
