I Arrived At This Point After A Few Different Things Happened.
(9 original, individual, illustrations. Not copies.)

(Click Picture)

I arrived at this point after a few different things happened. 1.) I have received a number of emails over the past year from people who have purchased my paintings with the intention of giving them away as a gifts but then after they got it they decided on keeping it for themselves. (I received another one of those emails this past week.) "Can you make another?" I have heard. 2.) I have been experimenting with the idea of trying to produce mulitple editions of original artwork without resorting to prints. (All originals, no copies). 3.) Lastly, I have really liked how the illustrations on the paint samples have been turning out. So, lets put all three of those things together and try something new here. This is what I came up with: 9 original, individual, unique, illustrations of the same portrait. On one hand, you can keep one for yourself and give the other 8 away or you can keep all 9 for yourself. (A friend said they would just matte and frame all 9 together as they are shown here.) Well, I guess I have gone on long enough. I am sure you can come up with even a better idea! So, with all that said... Enjoy!

I Have To Keep One Of These For Myself.
(Click Picture)

I have had this picture sitting around for a few days. I thought I would keep it. Something about it was saying, "Keep Me. Don't get rid of me." (I think it's the left eye). However, I have this theory that it is not good to keep too much of your own artwork around. The best way to keep moving forward as painter is too not hold on to too much of your own work. But every so often one of these pops out and I want to keep it. So, I hold on to it for a few days and enjoy it. Then I remember that it is better off to be enjoyed by others. One of these days I will have to keep one of these wood ones for myself. So, until then, I guess this yours if you would like it... Enjoy!

Portrait While Listening To The Twin Peaks Soundtrack.
The Log Lady Would Be Proud.
7.25" x 10"

(Click Picture)

Its no secret, Im a fan of David Lynch. With that said, we are smack dab in the middle of (re)watching the entire Twin Peaks series. (Thanks to the Twin Peaks DVD set that found its way under our Christmas tree this year.) Coffee anyone? Maybe some pie? Anyway, since this portrait is on wood and Angelo Badalamenti is in the background, it only seems right to pay homage to Twin Peaks, its music and of course, the log lady... Enjoy!

God Wants You and/or Uncommon Products For Married Men. 1963.
(Click Picture)

Here is another ad I ran across in a magazine from 1963. They just don't make them like they used to. The top ad claims "God Want You" and goes on to explain why. I swear I saw the same exact ad on a billboard on the way home from work. I think it just read "Got God?" in big white letters on a solid black background. (Sidenote: how long can they run the "Got Milk?" Spinoffs into the ground?) The bottom has "Uncommon Products for Married Men." Im guessing that God was not in that catalog. Well, I guess not as much has changed as I thought, over the last 45 years. As always ... Enjoy!

Sad King Wearing Blue Crown. 6" x 9"
(Click Picture)

If you were to peel away all the black you would see alot of color and shapes and lines. Im thinking that could apply to alot more than just this painting. (I could probably put those psych classes to work but its better leave that stuff to a professional.) Here there are just paintings and you can make what you wish of the Sad King Wearing Blue Crown... Enjoy!

Bridge Over Troubled KEEMO

9 out of 10 Painters Agree. Wood Veneer is Better Than Canvas. 7" x 9"
Acrylic and Ink
(Click Picture)

I got a hold of a bunch of these big wood veneer samples. These arent the little ones you find in the aisle at one of those big hardward stores.
This one is 7"x9". I think it is Bamboo. (Im no wood expert) These are actually intended to be wall coverings. How cool is that? You just put it on like wallpaper.
Anyway, 9 out of 10 painters agree, wood veneer is better than canvas. (Unofficial results of an unofficial survey) ... Enjoy!

Come Hell Or High KEEMO

When went for a walk last night. It gets dark here around 5:00 now. By 6:00 PM it is as dark as midnight. Its cold and the ice and snow on the sidewalk sound loud as you take each step. Walking in the cold is different than in the warmth. You walk with purpose, you dont linger or stroll. Your steps are deliberate. Well, heres to walks in the dark and the cold and being all wrapped up in winter coats and gloves and boots...Enjoy!

Keep Your Nose To The KEEMOstone

I got a hold of a bunch of these big wood veneer samples. These aren't the little ones you find in the aisle at Lowes. These badboys are 8"x10.5". Of course, everytime I get my hands on something, my first reaction is to paint on it. So, thats what I did. (I should probably seek out a therapist and get to the bottom of it but its just too much fun) Anyway, here is to painting on things that were not meant to be painted on and ending up with something that looks like a painting... Enjoy!
